The academic year in Russia is divided into two semesters, begins on 1st of September and ends at the end of June. the language of the study in Russian universities is Russian, so students must register for the preparatory year. during This year, students study Russian language for 8-10 months and other subjects according to the required major.it means a student who wants to study medicine or engineering in addition to Russian language he will study scientific subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics.

Russian universities offer general medicine and pharmacy in English language as well as some engineering colleges(limited). A student who wants to study in English language must take an exam at the university with scientific subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Math. After passing the exam the student will be registered in the university. If the student fails, he will be registered in the preparatory year in English.

After the documents are confirmed by the university, the student will receive an invitation (after 45 days) to study or an invitation to the preparatory year.

 

There are two types of student invitation:

1

Electronic Invitation:

the company will send it to your email after receiving it from relevant government department.
2

Written invitation:

An official document will be sent to your address which you mentioned when filling out the information by express mail (DHL). the cost of express mail is paid by the student.

The type of invitation determined by relevant government department:

After receiving the invitation, you must go to the embassy in order to get visa and take the following documents with you:
  1. Passport, Invitation letter, Visa application form.
  2. Original Certificate, along with a copy in Russian language, both are stamped by relevant authorities.
  3. A medical examination certificate proving that you are free of diseases and AIDS, stamped by relevant authorities.
  4. Personal photos with white background.
